He started building websites for local businesses at 14 and went on to build software for national brands and enterprises of all sizes. Emmert Technology is a business automation company in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for service businesses where the owner is still needed in every decision. Founder Robby Emmert started the company in Hong Kong in 2018 and brought it home to Michigan in 2020.

The company works from a simple principle: software won't fix a broken workflow; it only speeds it up. So it maps how a team actually works, then sets up the right tool around it, whether an off-the-shelf CRM, a project tool or software built from the ground up. It extends what already works rather than rebuilding it, and keeps each client's data portable. Owners see a working prototype in weeks and owe nothing until it ships.

Its clients include a roofing contractor that grew revenue more than 20% while its staff shrank 20%, an in-house legal team whose members look up the status of their 90+ matters instead of emailing for it, and a local barber shop where 24/7 online booking cut calls and raised bookings and sales.
