Privacy policy
What we collect when you visit emmert.io or book a meeting with us, why we collect it, and how to change your mind.
Effective October 21, 2026 · Last updated October 21, 2026
The short version
- When you book a meeting, we keep the details you enter to schedule it, hold it and follow up with you.
- GoHighLevel holds your booking for us, and Vercel hosts the site. Each uses your information only to provide its service to us.
- We count every visit anonymously, without cookies.
- Enhanced cookies link your visit to our contact page with your booking, and load only if you accept. Choose "Functional only" and you can still book.
- We don't sell your personal information, share it for advertising, or use advertising pixels.
- Email privacy@emmert.io to see, correct or delete what we hold about you.
Who we are
We run emmert.io. We are Emmert Technology LLC, a Michigan limited liability company based in Grand Rapids. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Emmert Technology LLC.
What we collect
When you book a meeting
The booking calendar on our contact page asks for your name, your email address, your phone number if the form asks for it, the time you pick, and anything you choose to tell us in the form. The calendar is run by GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). Your booking goes into our customer records there, and GoHighLevel sends your confirmation and calendar invite.
After you book, GoHighLevel sends you to a thank-you page on our site, which our analytics counts as a page view.
When you visit any page
We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, for every visitor. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It records the pages you view, clicks on our booking buttons, the site that sent you, any campaign tags in the link (UTM parameters, labels that show which campaign the link came from), and your country, device type, browser and operating system. We see all of it only as totals.
Our host, Vercel, also receives standard request details, such as your IP address, your browser and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
If you accept enhanced cookies
These load on our contact page only, and only after you accept.
- GoHighLevel's tracking script notes that you visited our contact page and how you used its forms, and adds any form you send to our customer records. If you book a meeting, that visit is linked to your booking.
- The booking calendar saves the details you enter, and a device identifier (a code that recognizes your device), in your browser's local storage: a small store on your device that the site can read. That lets it fill in your details for you.
- The calendar also learns which page you booked from, the site that sent you and any campaign tags in the link, so we know where your booking came from.
Cookies and your choice
Beyond the items below, nothing on the site follows you from page to page, and we keep no history of your visits to other pages.
When you open our contact page, a small card asks you to choose "Functional only" or "Accept". Until you answer, nothing that needs your consent loads. No other page asks, because no other page uses enhanced cookies.
The functional items below need no consent. The enhanced items load only if you accept.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage when you make it, and is never sent anywhere.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
site-consent | Us, in local storage | Remembers your cookie choice | Functional |
__cf_bm cookie | Cloudflare | Tells people from bots | Functional |
| reCAPTCHA or Turnstile | Google or Cloudflare | Checks a real person is booking | Functional |
lc_session_ plus our tracking ID | GoHighLevel | Tracks your visit and form use | Enhanced, about a day |
| Booking device ID and details | GoHighLevel, in local storage | Fills in your details, records your source | Enhanced, until you clear it |
The functional bot checks run inside the booking calendar whenever you use it, so the calendar stays usable.
If you choose "Functional only", you can still book a meeting. The contact page links to the calendar on GoHighLevel's own page instead of showing it on ours. Your booking details still go to GoHighLevel, which sends your confirmation and invite; we just don't link your visit to our contact page to your booking.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
How we use your information
- To schedule your meeting, hold it, and follow up with you about it, using the details you give when you book.
- To see which pages help visitors and where bookings come from, so we can improve the site.
- To keep the site and the booking calendar secure.
- To meet our legal obligations.
Who handles your information
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- GoHighLevel (LeadConnector): the booking calendar, our customer records, and the enhanced tracking script on our contact page, including its form tracking.
- Vercel: hosting and anonymous analytics.
- Cloudflare and Google: bot protection inside the booking calendar.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising, and we don't use advertising platforms or pixels.
How long we keep it
- Booking and contact records: up to 3 years after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Enhanced cookies: the tracking cookie lasts about a day. The details the booking calendar stores in your browser's local storage stay until you clear them.
- Anonymous analytics: kept only as totals.
- Hosting request logs: kept for a short time under Vercel's own policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and send you a copy;
- correct anything that's wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using enhanced cookies, which you can also do yourself in "Cookie settings".
Your state's law may give you more rights. We may honor these requests on a case by case basis, pending legal review. Email privacy@emmert.io with a request or a question and we'll answer within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. Making a request never changes how we treat you.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email privacy@emmert.io and we'll delete it.
Browser privacy signals
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as choosing "Functional only": enhanced cookies don't load, and our contact page doesn't ask you about cookies.
Do Not Track is an older signal with no agreed standard, so our site doesn't change anything when your browser sends it. Our anonymous analytics never track you across sites either way.
Changes to this policy
When we change how we handle your information, we update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so at the top of this page.
